Philosophy of Student Affairs

I’ve always been a believer in the college experience. I love the excitement of applying to college, attending graduations, learning from teachers, and being part of campus events. Today, I am honored to be part of the higher education community.

As I work with college students, I strive to listen, learn and grow. I have chosen to work in a field where every day is different yet significant at the same time. I love that I am impacting student lives and they are impacting mine. Together, we teach each other how to live a life full of love, passion, commitment, and balance.

My student affairs philosophy is simple: the successful college experience begins at orientation, develops through the steady building of relationships both inside and outside the classroom, and concludes at graduation – wearing a long black gown, cap and tassel.
